就過去的做法，在聲音的分析方面，僅以耳聽的方式來判定音階的高低與音色的好壞，然而面對現今科學技術的進步與創新，對於過去這樣的作法，似乎不符合經濟效益。
本文目的旨在發展聲音頻譜分析程式，利用簡易的錄音設備，並配合各種不同的敲擊工具，針對鑼臍型銅鑼在敲擊後所發出的聲音加以錄製，再透過聲音頻譜分析程式，以求得其銅鑼之聲音頻譜變化。並發展具多頻率對數衰減正弦波之聲音模擬程式，將鑼臍型式銅鑼進行外觀幾何形狀之變更，經由多頻率具對數衰減正弦波之聲音模擬程式，以瞭解鑼臍型式銅鑼之幾何形狀對聲音的影響。
